Marcia Griffiths & Diana King Headline Trinity Tour 2007

The Trinity Tour, featuring some of Jamaica’s premiere female artists, will take place in major North American cities this fall. The tour will allow fans to appreciate live, and intimate, performances by Marcia Griffiths (the Queen of Reggae), Diana King (Reggae/R&B Superstar) and a third emerging Jamaican female artist to be announced. The North American tour will begin October 18th on the east coast. Ky-Mani Marley In Reality TV Show “Living the Life of Marley”

BET Networks has selected Ky-Mani Marley to star in a brand new reality series.The show ” Living the Life of Marley” is a half- hour reality series will be part of Bet’s fall tv offering.The Show will deal with the ordinary day to day life of Bob Marley’s son Ky-Mani Marley.Marley will be seen living his life with family and friends and preparing for the launch of his new album.The entire Marley family clan is expected to lend a hand in this series. The television show will coincide with the release of Ky-Mani Marley’s New CD titled Radio. Radio features several key singles including “One Time,” The CD contains Marley’s unique sound of classical reggae beats mixed with contemporary hip hop.Along with the his TV Show and Studio work Ky-Marley has also been selected to support rock group Van Halen on their up coming U.S. tour.

Kulcha Don Denies Being Father of Foxy Browns Baby

“I am definitely not the father,”, said Dancehall artist Kulcha Don who has denied being the father of rapper Foxy Brown’s unborn child.Foxy Brown, who is reportedly three months pregnant and currently locked away behind bars for violating conditions of her recent probation.

Kulcha Don, said he dated Brown for a few months earlier this year thats all folks….Kulch Don did say in a recent interview that “I heard that she is three months pregnant. She and I broke up almost six months ago. I want to make it clear that despite the rumours and all the things being said, I am not the father of Foxy Brown’s unborn child.”

Richie Spice out of Jamrock

Visa Issues Force Richie Spice to Cancel JAMROCK Reggae Fest Appearance

Due to a backlog of visa requests at the Jamaican US Consulate, Richie Spice will not be able to travel to the US to perform at the 10th Annual JAMROCK Reggae Fest on Sunday, June 3rd at the Westchester County Center in New York

“We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.” Devon Wheatley, CEO of Fifth Element Records stated. “We cannot emphasize just how sorry we are for disappointing not only the faithful promoters, but also the dedicated fans of Richie Spice.”

“Unfortunately, Richie Spice is having unforeseen travel issues that will prevent him from performing at the concert,” states David “Squeeze” Annakie, President and CEO of LinkUp Media Inc and promoter of the JAMROCK Reggae Fest. “Fortunately, the JAMROCK Reggae Fest has a strong line-up featuring some of the biggest names in Reggae music. Patrons can still look forward being thoroughly entertained with a stellar show.”

The 2007 JAMROCK Reggae Fest features top-ranking Dancehall deejay Buju Banton, Grammy-award winning pop music favorite Shaggy, the ‘fire man’ Capleton, Lover’s Rock crooner Sanchez, ‘Jamaica’s Stevie Wonder’ Frankie Paul and Reggae music icon Marcia Griffiths, alongside Collie Buddz, Tarrus Riley, Etana, Mr. Peppa, Richie Stephens, the Danceheall Gladiators—Brigadier Jerry, Mumma Nancy, Ranking Joe, Mikey Jarrett, and Carlton Livingston; Cutty Ranks, General Degree, Twin of Twins, Khari Kill, Bigga Haitian, and Christopher. The Award-winning show also features a special guest appearance by Dancehall’s ‘phenomenal one.’

In a public press statement, Wheatley and Fifth Element promise to make-up any missed performances during the three-week delay in Richie Spice’s scheduled U.S. appearances.

The Jamaica 360 Degree Sun Festival

The Jamaica 360 Degree Sun Festival is a retreat for 100 college graduates from historically black colleges which was sponsored by a US$150,000 donation from actor/comedian Eddie Griffin.

among the major artist to perform was Spragga who was preceded by Half Pint who stepped on-stage dressed in all black and uttering the timeless Greetings, which brought the audience into a frenzy.Half Pint then launched into some of his classics hits; Level the Vibes, One Big Family, and the title track from his upcoming album No Stress Express, which will be released in August 2007.

Roots reggae is still going strong amongst African Americans college students juding by the reception they gave Dancehall DJ Spragga Benz when he came on stage onstage early Thursday morning at the inaugural Jamaica 360 Degrees Sun Festival’s. The performances were held on the grounds of the Grand Lido Braco Resort and Spa in Trelawny.

The other acts which performed were Bushman, Fahrenheit, Marcus I, Cezar and the opening act alternative rock reggae act Katherine, .
